The webinar will feature the sharing of the design philosophies and concept by the winning designs of the SIA Architectural Design Awards 2021.

Speakers
Ar. Alan Tay, Formwerkz Architects
Alan is the Managing Partner of Formwerkz Architects and the Co-founder of the Formwerkz Collective with specialization in hospitality and retail experience, place-making, digital fabrication and branding. Formwerkz numerous projects have received critical acclaim both locally and internationally. Some of the accolades includes Architecture Review Award, The President’s Design Award, SIA Building of the Year and Design Award, FRAME Award, Golden Pin Design Awards, International Architecture Award from the Chicago Athenaeum and the European Urban Centre, Design for Asia Award. In recognition of his architectural merits, he was selected by AUDE as one of the promising architects in the “20 Under 45: The Next Generation” in 2004.
He currently serves as a member of the Design Singapore-Design Education Committee. He was appointed by the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) as the Festival Director of Archifest 2019.
He believes in the transformative power of Design in effecting change and making the world a better place.
Ar. Wong Zi Xin, Park + Associates
Zi Xin joined Park + Associates in 2014, where she has spent some pivotal years in her growth to become an architect.
She is driven by the genuine belief that good architecture – including design that goes unnoticed – has the strange and powerful ability to shape our emotions and our physiological health. She strongly believes in architecture with good bones; and that architecture should be accessible and part of everyday life.
She enjoys the problem-solving aspects in architecture, as well as working with and learning from and with other industry professionals. Urban planning and issues are also something she has passion for.
Ar. Colin Seah, Ministry of Design, Singapore
As MOD’s Founder and Director of Design, Colin is a two-time recipient of Singapore’s highest design accolade, the President’s Design Award. He is also a three-time Grand Prize Winner of the Gold Key Award, a Global Advisor for leading surfaces manufacturer Cosentino and invited by the Singapore Tourism Board to redefine Singapore as a destination for 2020 and beyond.
