Synopsis
Topic 1: What Architects should know for Water Tank Provision, Maintenance and Security
The speaker will highlight important design security and maintenance requirements for water storage tanks as stipulated in the Singapore Standard SS 636: 2018 – Code of Practice for Water Services. The speaker will also share on good and bad practices in the design and installation of water storage tanks at customers’ premises.
Topic 2: Alternative hybrid detention tank design solution and submission Architects should know
The presentation will share on alternative detention systems that can be adopted to control peak runoff discharged from the development sites.
This presentation will also highlight common issues in the detention system submissions, as well as update on the latest addendum to Code of Practice on Surface Water Drainage (Clause 13.2) regarding the requirements for post-TOP submissions for pumped detention systems.

Speakers
Mr Muhd Zhafri
The speaker is an Engineer from PUB Inspectorate Branch of the Water Supply Network Department. He is managing the Water Tank Section and is responsible to ensure a safe, reliable and wholesome water supply through regulation & enforcement.
Ms Tan Sok Hian
The speaker is an Engineer in PUB’s Catchment & Waterways Department. She is responsible for drainage planning in the western region of Singapore. She is involved in the development and review of drainage schemes at the catchment level, to ensure the long-term performance and resilience of our drainage system. She is also involved in development control for drainage works, to ensure adequate drainage and flood protection measures are put in place for developments.
