Synopsis
Design Responsibilities are complex as it intertwines the Architects and Contractors’ roles. This session will consider Clause 3 of SIA Building Contract 2016 – how, when, why and where the Responsibilities start, cross over and finish between the Architect and Contractor; whether the 2016 version expands and/or varies from that of the 9th editions and/or Minor Works Contract 2012; and the legal issues that may arise from the operating of Clause 3.

Anil, a Mediator (Singapore Mediation Centre), Arbitrator (Fellows of the Chartered, Singapore and Philippines Institutes of Arbitrators), Adjudicator (Asian International Arbitration Centre), Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore and Solicitor of England and Wales, has been in practice since 1995 having qualified as a Barrister of England and Wales (Middle Temple) and five-years career as an infantry officer, Singapore Armed Forces before that.
