Synopsis
With the Singapore government’s advocate for the sustainability agenda in the built environment, much of the push is devoted to minimizing the energy required to keep a building running – new buildings are required to meet a stricter requirement of being 50% more energy-efficient compared to 2005 levels, which are comparable to previous Green Mark Platinum standards.
But how can we further improve our building energy performance? In this seminar, we will be discussing a key passive design strategy to optimize building energy efficiency: designing for high-performance facades. This will allow for substantial improvement in a building’s energy efficiency and decarbonization progress, driving towards greener and more sustainable building design.
You can also garner further insights from a renowned system house, who will be showcasing real life case studies of thermally broken systems and the actual energy savings achieved, as well as other key benefits of designing for high-performance façades beyond thermal improvement.
