Synopsis

Topic 1 : Digital Transformation: The Future of Architectural Practice by Ar Jim Tan

In 2010, Singapore started our BIM Journey.

How much have we progress since and ‘Where Are We Now?’
The misconception has always been that BIM is a software or tool that is used by designer or technical team in construction only.   However, this is only partially true as BIM is also about how the building ‘information’ is managed, maximized and applied in a built environment project.

It has also been said that circuit breaker in Singapore has brought digital transformation 5 years ahead of time. So how is this going to affect our built environment, our design & construction processes and our businesses?

The Built Environment is evolving.
It will evolve regardless if you have decided to do anything or not.
Have you started your journey yet?

Topic 2 : 3D Geospatial Data in Singapore by URA & SLA

URA and SLA will be co-presenting on the types of 3D Geospatial Data and systems that are available in Singapore and its application for planning and urban design. You will be consulted for feedback on upcoming exciting initiatives, such as OneMap3D, 3D Sandbox and a new 3D web portal for architects. These new platforms will help facilitate smart planning and spatial design analysis through integration of different datasets so as to create a sustainable and delightful environment to live, work and play in.
