Synopsis
How to Achieve Optimum Green Building Designs Using Intelligent Building Controls Technology.
Passive design has mostly become the priority by architects with taking advantage of natural energy opportunities related with location of the building site, local climate, and the properties of building materials. Whenever passive design implementation is limited, active design strategies would then be employed as part of the design process, with mechanical and electrical systems being integrated into the building design. To achieve a balanced design between passive and active elements, intelligent building control technology will have to play an important and unavoidable role to overcome the constraints of space, locality and land costs.
This talk by THEBEN AG will discuss how emerging technologies can bridge the active and passive design strategy, to achieve optimum design for green buildings. Agustinus is currently the Theben Asia CRO of Indonesia; and also the Regional Smart Building Solution Specialist, with the goal of proposing smart building solutions with project stakeholders. Agus previously worked with other electrical companies such as Robert Bosch, ABB, and General Electric.
Agustinus has a long proven record working on intelligent building controls, security & fire alarm systems, and within lighting industries. Amongst his notable projects are the first and biggest IKEA retail store at Indonesia (IKEA Alam Sutera) for KNX Lighting Control and Energy Monitoring. He also successfully worked on the Fire Alarm System project for the new and second largest airport in Indonesia: Kertajati International Airport, later Ahmad Yani International Airport, and also operation areas of Soekarno Hatta International Airport.
Agustinus holds a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Marketing Management. He is a certified KNX partner, with over 11 years of hands-on automation experience.

Alen started his professional career in 2004 and quickly specialized in building automation systems such as KNX or DALI. Passionate about technology, he uses his deep knowledge and hands on experience to find the best possible solutions for his customers, with the goal to achieve energy efficiency and living comfort through building automation.
In 2017 Alen took on the role of Sales Manager for Theben, responsible for all sales and marketing activities in Italy. He creates and coordinates a team of specialists of building automation control systems, and is continuing in his mission to provide ideas, solutions, and support to his customers.
Under Alen’s leadership since 2017, Theben Italy more than doubled the turnover in KNX and DALI products.
During his career he trained hundreds of installers, planners and system integrators in KNX programming, and is well trusted in industry, and is often invited to be keynote speaker at various events.
